Boogs Rosales is a photographer, cinematographer, scuba diver, and marine conservationist. Boogs is a founding partner of Studio H2O, a production company based in Manila. His personal mission is to use his stories and images to spark conversations and inspire action to protect our oceans.
Boogs’ photography has been featured on Sport Diver, Scuba Diver Australasia, Ocean Geographic, and various travel and lifestyle magazines. As a professional cameraman, he specializes in underwater and aerial cinematography for nature and travel documentaries. Notable works include sequences for National Geographic Channel’s Ten Deadliest Snakes, Nat Geo Wild’s Untamed Philippines, and the Award-winning TV Documentary On the Brink, which also aired on National Geographic Channel. Boogs has experience diving and filming in diverse environments, from the tropical waters of the Maldives in the Indian Ocean to the Mexican subtropics in the Eastern Pacific. He leads regular diving expeditions to places where there are good opportunities to encounter and photograph unique marine animals.
In line with his mission, Boogs works with environmental organizations such as Save Philippine Seas, Greenpeace, and Conservation International in support of their marine conservation campaigns. For his contributions to his community, he was named a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum in 2013.
